Equipment: New digital substrobe DS-160 from Ikelite
Long-awaited now announced the successor of the Ikelite Substrobe DS-125. The brandnew DS-160 shall replicate the success of the widely used precedessor. An energy rating of 160 watt-sec, 5-watt LED modeling light, 9 fractional, full and TTL firing modes are the improvements of this new model. The number of full power flashes reduces from 250 to 225 - that´s still enough for an intense day of diving. Recycle time now is 1,5 sec. but that´s the time for full discharge, time for TTL and fractional flashes is much shorter. The first new strobes will be delivered end of July. The DS-160 uses the same batteries, chargers, cords and arms as the DS-125.
